"Over the last 5 months I have come to learn that there are 2 types of auto body shops: the kind that your auto insurance company prefers/suggests you use; and the kind that, by reputation, you hear does good work. My suggestion to anyone requiring services of the type provided by a body shop is to go with the latter. Insurance companies are out to, simply put, save as much money as possible, with your car being properly repaired and personal satisfaction being only a secondary concern.

I first went to the auto body shop that my insurer recommended. Heck, they even had a desk within that body shop's offices. This, and the fact that the body shop works on high-end Bentleys, Aston Martins, Maseratis, etc., demonstrated to me that they must know what they are doing and I should have nothing to worry about. Wrong!! This so called "high-end" shop took numerous short-cuts and, surprisingly, managed to screw-up my car worse than it had been when I first brought it into their shop for repair. So after 7 times in their body shop over a 4 month period, I took my near-new 2011 Dodge Charger to another shop for an opinion: Network Auto Body. Not only did Network look at what I had noticed was wrong with my vehicle, they found problems that I had missed, and they were serious ones. Network also assisted me in negotiations with my insurer to make certain that everything damaged by the "high-end" shop was accounted for. Finally, Network followed through! They actually repaired what they said they would and got the car back to me when promised!
